Wow - a massive gusher!! Maybe the biggest gusher I’ve seen from a professional brewer. All over the counter and along the way to the sink. I don’t know how many Eclipse series I’ve had and this is the first line that. Aroma is semi-sweet chocolate that is very restrained. Deep brown with brown highlights and a large brown head. Head was 2/3 of the glass even once it settled. Flavor is chocolate and slight roast. I do t actually get any off or infected flavors notwithstanding the gush. Maybe a slight bit of tart funk. But it’s also not vibrant like these beers usually are.

Sampled at Churchkey's Fifty Fifty event, pours an oily, deep brown, no head. Looks like port. Nose has coffee and chocolate, tootsie roll, mild spice. Flavor is thin, chocolate soda, tootsie roll. Think finishes. The back of the pack in this grouping.

Bottle at Hair of the Dog, Phrom Phong, Bangkok. 2018 Edition. Poured a clear dark brown colour with little life. The aroma is roasty malt, cacao, light liquorice, boozy alcohol. The flavour is moderate sweet with a smooth, rich, roasty alcohol, chocolate, light fruit, boozy palate. Medium bodied with soft carbonation. Slightly lighter the that some of the eclipse imperial stouts.

Dark brown, has a nice chocolate and syrupy note, light coffee, good sweet toast and coffee. A very coffee-heavy variant.
