Aromas of caramel, butterscotch, grapefruit and quite an earthy note. That earthiness is very prominent, along with the grapefruit and some pine notes. The earthiness gives it an added layer of interest as it scrapes along the tongue. Couldn't get enough of it. (originally rated 3.1, Dec 2022. Said the earthy notes overwhelmed the other flavours and there was no taste on the back of the tongue. Slightly tweaked recipe since then?)

330ml bottle - Pours a slightly hazy coppery amber colour with an average sized frothy beige head. Aroma is toffee malts, berries and mixed dried fruit. A sweetish caramel malt taste, sweet dried fruit and orange peel flavours. Smooth mouthfeel with a very nice spicey wood hop finish.

Bottle at the Warehouse Bar, Bangkok. Poured a hazy medium to dark brown colour with a thin off white head. The aroma is burnt treacle toffee malt, red berry fruits, woody hop, light alcohol. The flavour is moderate sweet with a smooth, rich, malty, light biscuit, fruity, light Christmas spice, woody hop bitter palate. Medium bodied with average to soft carbonation.

On tap at Rainbow Hotel. Pours deep, opaque amber with tightly beaded cream head. Malt forward nose with pine notes. Luscious, balanced red with sufficient happiness to lift it. Perfect for mild Melbourne Xmas.

Hazy amber. The aroma has orangey, slightly peachy nose, with phenols. Sweet front with candied fruits, both citrus and peach, with a bit of alcohol strength to dry out the finish. Ok, has potential, but a bit too muddled to really stand out.1

12 oz. bottle, pours an opaque cloudy orange with a medium beige head. Aroma brings out robust piney hops, resin and biscuity malt. Flavour is bright and fresh, with notes of vibrant piney hops, some citrus and a little resin. Excellent hop balance, with high drinkability. Very good IPA.
