Now then. Fred is our newest IPA on the roster, with a combination of hops that has proved to be a hit – Krush, Citra and Simcoe. We’ve been getting loads of tropical overripe mango from Krush, so we’ve used loads in both the hot and cold side. Also dry-hopped with Citra Cryo and Simcoe Abstrax.

500ml can from The House of Trembling Madness. A hazy golden/yellow coloured pour with a medium white head on top. Hoppy, citrus, orange, lemon, tropical fruit taste, aroma is something similar. Quite a crisp and refreshing IPA but not one that I'd return to in a hurry.

On tap at the Hole in the Wall, Brighton on 9th May 2025. Hazy pale gold with shallow white foam and scant lacing. Citrus peel and tropical fruits aroma. Tangy fruits in-mouth and a finish of sweet citrus. Just the suggestion of salt. Full bodied with an engaging texture.

Can. A light haze on this yellowish gold beer, small bubbly pale cream colour head. Airy palate, semi dry, good fine minerally carbonation. Slightly thin malts, a decent creamy sweetness. Crisp pine. A light but pleasing bitterness from somewhere. Crisp bright citrus albeit quite thin. Krush brings a nice stone fruit and mild tropical fruits vibe. Light crisp finish. A bright and breezy IPA, well hopped and drinkable. Slightly thin overall but, that is a small demerit on this drinkable IPA.
