Bottle. Hazy golden body with a thin white head. Steady carbonation. Faint lacing. Aroma of lemon, honey and nettles. Flavour of grass, crystalised orange and white sugar. Medium body with a slick, slightly syrupy mouthfeel. Soft fizz. Quite sweet but full flavoured and interesting.

Keg at Six Deg North Abz. It pours clear golden with a medium white head. The aroma is fresh, juicy, some tropical fruit vibe, grassy, hay, herbal, spicy, cereal and orange creasmicle. The taste is dry, bitter, tropical fruit, citrus peel, juicy, candi sugar, straw, grass, cereal, cracker, nougat and light alcohol with a dry finish. Medium body and moderate, foamy carbonation. Avoids being too sweet. Pretty tasty for a tripel.

On keg at Six Degrees North, Edinburgh. Appearance - golden with a decent head. Nose - big dried orange note. Like essence of orange peel almost. Taste - repeated. Light herbal note. Palate - medium bodied with a tangy texture and a long dry tangy finish. Overall - good abbey tripel. While the notes weren’t quite what I expected for the style, the tangy palate was pretty authentic. One of my favourite styes. Well executed.
