22oz bomber. Pretty lackluster offering for a beer of it’s price. Unfiltered red-brown, Big time spiced out tones, ginger and nutmeg competing for the awkward award. Like a Belgian Xmas beer, if they forgot the Belgian yeast and added more chocolate tones. Not at all sessionable. OK at best. Had a 4pack again in 2021...this time I really enjoyed it, a perfect full bodied Winter Warmer. 7-3-8-3-16

Bomber courtesy of RoNo. Pours clear dark amber with a small frothy and fizzy wooden brownish beige head that quickly dissipates without leaving much trace on the glass. Smell is sweet, malty and very spicy with cinnamon buns, cardamom, nutmeg, gingerbread, orange zest, cloves, vanilla fudge, hay, sassafras, cookie dough and hints of peppermint. Taste is is slightly sweet, bitter and spicy with sweet dark bread, cloves, cardamom, ginger, hay, orange peal, mint, cinnamon buns, alcohol and roasted cereal. Mouthfeel is slightly round, spicy astringent and medium bodied. Finish is tiny sweet and spicy astringent with sweet dark bread, Christmas spices, cinnamon bun, ginger bread, hay and orange peal. Lots of freshly baked buns and cookies in this one but I don’t think that’s what I want in my beer.

Bottled, from Systembolaget. Clear nut brown, minimal head. Sheer gingersnap aroma. Sweetish with rounded mouthfeel and medium-full body. Gingerm, cinnamon and dough. Very simplistic flavour of only gingersnap cookies. Low bitterness. An overspiced beer with a flavour better suited for cookies.
