Can, 7.1%. Mild roasted aroma. Black colour. Big stable creamy dark brown head. The flavour is salty, fruity, roasted with citric notes and roasted coffee. Fruity hop finish. Funky aftertaste.

Zwart bier met weinig schuim wat snel wegzakt. Smaak is bitter en licht hoppig met iets van rook, wat bittere chocolade en een vleug koffie.

Older notes from a Beer52 package: really liked it, poured dark brown/black. Aromas of coffee, dark, dried fruit, chocolate and cocoa. Same for the flavours, with a dry and slightly bitter (yet not unpleasant) finish.

Flasche in einem Geschäft in Amsterdam gekauft. Sehr dunkles Braun, leicht rötlich. Fast kein Schaum. Aroma: Etwas Frucht, Karamell, dunkle Schokolade. Aroma: Kaum Süß, trocken, sehr bitter, Dunkle hochprozentige Schokolade, etwas Kaffee, Haselnuss.
Pretty simple stout. Light body and dry. But boozy. A bit unbalanced. But not bad. Gollem raamsteeg Amsterdam

Ganz ordentliches Porter, hinten schön röstig. Vielleicht etwas trocken, spät auch etwas alkoholisch. Okay.

Bottle from Beer 52 Has a dense aroma of burnt bread and treacle. Pours almost jet black with a good dark beige (almost orange) head. Bitterness is the word here. A slightly creamy start with some burning of the tongue leads to coffee grounds and liquorice. More bitterness in the finish some dark chocolate and hints of fruit. Rather delicious – but to be supped sparingly.
