Poesiat & Kater’s Van Vollenhoven Extra Stout is based on a recipe from the original Van Vollenhoven brewery that existed in Amsterdam during the 18th century. It has a rich full malt body with roasted flavor notes. This was the top selling beer in the Netherlands in the second half of the 19th century and was shipped all over the world.

Bottle at home.. and acts typically dutch and toatlly foams up in the Glass.. dark black .. massive as in 9/10 of glass head ... soft dusty chocolate roast malt nose ... dark dusty chocolate roast Again at arrunds nest Sept 2019... Yeah bitter choc roast.. Dark malts 3.6
