Can 33cl. Golden, hazy with a large white head. Tropical fruit aroma with malt and spices sense. Medium bitter with a mild tropical end, a bit juicy.

330ml can from Vinmonopolet Langnes. A two-finger white head reduced to a patchy layer leaving spotty lacing on the glass. Misty warm golden body. Vague aroma of tropical fruits. Mixed taste profile of lemony hops, mango and pale malts. Rounded, short-lived drying end. Okay, rather anonymous. (Tromsø 02.11.2018).

From 330ml can on 30/10/2018 (ABV listed as 5.1%). I tried after I saw it listed in the RB Australia top 50 list (99 overall score), and I was curious to ascertain how a humble pale ale could be so well regarded. Disappointingly, the answer turns out to be simple beer rating manipulation. Nearly every very high score given for this was entered over a period of several days in September and October 2016 and January 2017 by a small group of members (13) who only rated just over the qualifying ten beers, the bulk of them being from Nomad Brewing. These 'members' even managed to produce the same spelling mistakes in their ratings ('palate' was spelt 'pallet'!). I would support deletion of all of these ratings given it was clearly an attempted fix (hopefully not by the brewery). Hence, the rating for this and some other Nomad beers is clearly not a true reflection of the views of the community. But onto the beer! Pours a clear golden with little in the way of head. The aroma is slightly grainy with some muted sweet fruit. Flavour wise, there's a hint of biscuit malt, and some sweet peach and apricot, which is met by a moderate bitterness which lingers. Light to medium bodied with average carbonation. All up, it's a more than passable if a little uninspiring APA. Perhaps it might just squeak into the Aussie top 500, but top 50 is a joke.

Boks fra Vinmonopolet Tromsø - Langnes. Drukket på Lillehøgda. Lys aprikosfarget. Litt uklar. Lavt tett skum som blir film. Litt lacing. Veldig lett mangoaroma. Smaken plommer. Balansert. Tynn. Lett syrlig avslutning.

Tap at the Dok Kaew House Bar, Bangkok. Poured a hazy light golden colour with a thin broken white head. The aroma is grainy malt, light citrus fruit hop. The flavour is moderate bitter light sweet with a crisp, grainy malt, mineral, light fruity, yeasty hop bitter palate. Medium to light bodied with average carbonation.

(Can) Pours cloudy amber with small white head. Lovely aroma of tropical fruit. Medium body with bright carbonation. Taste is nice balance of tangy tropical fruit, light biscuity malt and pleasant hoppy bitterness. Very drinkable.

330ml can into glass. Slightly hazy golden amber beer with frothy white crown. A few bubbles ascend. Nose is tropical fruit, passionfruit, pineapple, rockmelon.... Flat mouthfeel, chalky texture. Finish is cleansing, long and bitter. Very nice, good for summer.

Can. Amber with a white head. 3+ Moody aroma of ripe grapefruit, mango, some passionfruit, grainy bread. Light bodied, moderate carbonation. Lots of fruit but no citrus. A little pine and pepper creep in at the discreetly bitter finish. Distinctive and good.
