Fizzy Bizness Sparkling Brut

Perfectly clear golden, bright copper and orange coloured body with a thin, single centimetre tall off-white head. Aroma of citrus, grapefruit, grass, light funk, biscuits and a tiny bit of alcohol. Light to Medium-bodied; Slightly metallic and funky flavoured at first, with a bit of astringency, but then some citrus and grass flavours show through that add to a lot of dryness on the finish with an almost herbal bite and some light yeastie and bready funk that shines through near the end. Aftertaste is relatively dry and floral with some added complexity from the citrus and grapefruit notes, but both of these leave no sweetness at all. Overall, a decent brut-styled IPA that definitely shows the dry notes, but there is not enough complexity, depth of flavours or effervescence to make this very good or worth searching out. Still, nice to sample here, as I [typically] love Victory products. I sampled this sixteen ounce, pint-sized can, purchased from Total Wine in Manassas, Virginia on 28-April-2020 for US$3,79 sampled at my house here in Washington on 23-May-2020.

Can, from Malt & Mold (1/22/20). Faintly cloudy pale golden with large foamy whitish head, faint malt aroma, high carbonation, mildly astringent taste with faint grape like flavor, thin body, longish finish. Quite dry, but good drinking experience.
