Fairly hazy deep copper and bronze coloured body with a light golden glow and a nice two to three centimetre tall richer tan head. Aroma of very deep and pungent citrus and tropical fruits with a little bit of perceivable oranges, curacao and mangoes with the sweetness coming off the curacao and showing from deeper honey or caster sugar. Medium to perhaps even Full-bodied; Deep and strong rich malt bite at first that definitely shows some alcohol, however, probably not close to the 10,0 per cent, but some honey and caster sugar does come out of that towards the end. Aftertaste shows more of the tropical fruit and lighter notes with mangoes and guava noticeable, but the balance of malt is nice and the alcohol, while still noticeable gives way to more of the lower bitter hop notes and some tropical fruits. Overall, a nice and rich IPA that shows the Imperial (I'm not sure why 'Triple' gets thrown in a name here) IPA side of the beer, but also some hazier side (in terms of flavours) with the tropical fruits and a good, smooth balance of malt, and while the alcohol is large, it is possible to get through a single one of these without falling asleep. I sampled this sixteen ounce, pint-sized can, given to me after a hockey game in Arlington (Ballston), Virginia in June 2019 by the GM of the brewery - Thanks Erik!
