Though it’s based on an English Pale Ale, we tried to create a summer beer that would combine an intense aroma and high drinkability, while keeping a full-body, ideal for warm summer evenings.
We use Galaxy, a hop charged by the Australian sun, that, together with Citra, give the beer its intense aroma of tropical fruit. For bitterness we used the Apollo hop.

Bottle, 750 ml from Hostinec Richtar Jakub, Bratislava. Shared with JFK. Pours yellow with white head. Citrus fruity aroma. Hoppy and fruity flavor, light to medium body. Refreshing and very drinkable. Very nice.

dark yellow color, filtered, off white hdead. smells very fruity of passion fruit, mango and grapefruit. light bodied, very slick mouthfeel, light grapefruit on the taste, light grain, light sweetness, some spices and light peppery. nice bitter finish.

0,33 bottle purchased in Prague and consumed in Kosovo. Huge thanks to Jacquie, who has "smuggled" it. It pours pale golden colour, cloudy, oily texture, sediments in the glass, fantastic big white head. Impressive nose: predominant citrus notes, residual notes of fresh summer fruits and orange juice. Mouth: terrific! Compact blast of round (tough bitter) malts, slightly sweet feel of citrus juice, light grassy aftertaste. Impressive beer! 0.75l at 2+KK Restaurant, Prague, thanks Nikola! Really sad about probably losing my notes for all these Matuškas forever. In any case, this beauty started off with a superb, fruity, aromatic hopiness, like one would expect, tropical perhaps, citric, but, in this case, backed with a huge amount of bitterness, again, as expected. This is impressive stuff in any case. Liked it slightly less than the California in a way, but I’d gladly have it again.. and again... and again...

2nd Oct 2014, 0.75 litre bottle shared with the wife in Beergeek, Prague. BBD 16th Nov 2014. Light amber with a slight haze and white head. The aroma was both grainy and citrusy, with tangerine and grapefruit notes coming through. Taste leans towards the citrus hop side and ends fairly bitter. My first beer from this brewery, but one I came to enjoy very much while visiting Prague.

Keg at GBBF ’14, day 2, 13/08/14. Almost clear golden with an exquisite off white head that has impeccable retention qualities - a real looker! Nose is juicy hops, orange pith, pine linger, light grapefruit, toasted bread, melon, freshly cut grass. Taste comprises juicy hops, mandarin, light pine, toasted malt, citric peel. Medium bodied, fine carbonation - massaging, perfectly pitched, great drinkability with hop bitterness in the close. Great APA, looks and feels amazing and doesn’t disappoint at the business end either. Best beer of GBBF ’14 for me!

Keg at gbbf. Hazed golden coloured with a lasting white head. Aroma is nice juicy fruit orange peel and berry, mango. Flavour is crisp tropical fruit, clean base malt. Could pass for a kernel beer. Palate is crisp with nice lifting carbonation.

Draught @ GBBF 2013, Great British Beer Festival, London Olympia, Hammersmith Road, London, England W14 8UX. [ As Matuska Apollo Galaxy ].Clear medium orange yellow color with a small, fizzy, fair lacing, mostly diminishing, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, caramel, fruity, earthy, light to moderate hoppy, citrus. Flavor is moderate to light heavy sweet and moderate bitter with a average duration, grass, fruity, earthy hops. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft to flat. [20130813]
