Cask at Moon Under Water, Wolverhampton. Pours a hazy pale straw with minimal off-white head but excellent lacing. Grains and some hints of floral hops in the aroma. In the mouth it is slightly sweet with a chewy texture and a strong dose of floral hops, which keep on increasing. Plenty of citrus and lemon there too, and some traces of tropical fruits after a while. Finish is slightly try. This is reasonable, but too citrusy for me – not really an IPA either.

Taste comprises light breads, orange zest, melon, grass, soft malts. Medium bodied, soft carbonation, semi drying close laced with mellow hop bitterness. Decent enough cask sessioner.

Fourth beer of the day, Sunday 18th Apr 2021. Sunny and warm, having a mini-session with myself on the patio after cutting my lawns and tidying the garden a bit. 500ml bottle from Bernie's (Shirley, Brum): BBE Jan 2022. Deep golden amber body, white crust on top. Citrus front to this refreshing APA, really enjoyed it.

4/12/2019. Bottle from Warwick Real Ale. Pours pale amber with an average size just off-white head. Aroma of hops, citrus, grapefruit, malt, flowers and a hint of pine. Moderate sweetness and medium bitterness. Moderate body, slight oily texture, average carbonation. Nicely done, and best of the Silhill beers I got from WRA.

Cask at the White Swan, Solihull. Poured a crystal clear golden colour with a frothy white head. The aroma is caramel malt, light fruits, woody hop. The flavour is moderate to strong bitter with a smooth, dry earthy mineral malt, big dry woody hop bitter palate and a long bitter finish. Medium bodied with soft carbonation. A decent ale, but way too bitter and lacks fruit in my opinion. IPA’s are better with more carbonation too. Not so easy with a hand pulled ale. Improved a little as the beer warmed though and more fruity notes developed.
