A gorgeous Franconia-inspired helles lager, hopped with Hallertauer Tradition and fermented at cold temperatures for over 10 weeks.

Unfiltered and hazy, refreshing and, yes, crisp. Hellelujah!

Can from The Beerhive. Hazy golden body with a thick off-white head. Low carbonation. Faint lacing. Aroma of straw, grass and marzipan. Flavour of earth, grass and a hint of marzipan on the finish. Medium to fast op body with a smooth mouthfeel. Soft fizz. SMOD’s lagers are always so flavourful.

Can. Mitchell’s Wines. Pale gold. Very decent white foam. Nose has sweet grain. Some rubbery notes. Bit of cardboard. Taste is sweet and a little buttery up front with a quite harsh bitterness. Bit heavy overall. Harsh bitterness to finish. Not SMODs best lager by some way. Looks good though.
