Rich aromas of espresso mingle with characters of chocolate and roasted malt atop a pillowy tan head. It's a seductive dance in the darkness, boasting deep, alluring flavours and a lush, rounded body. Peaceful, dark, and sultry

Pint on tap at Basement Brewery, Bankstown. Black beer with thin head. Nose of iced coffee and caramel. Good body, smooth texture. Oaty and grainy with a sour bitter finish. Late peppery sweetness. Good solid stout.

Bottle from Beermash, Melbourne. Poured a clear dark brown with a long-lasting frothy off-white head. The aroma is caramel malt, charcoal, dark chocolate, liqouirce. The flavour is moderate sweet with a smooth, dry sweet roast, light charcoal, dry coffee hop bitter palate. Medium bodied with soft carbonation.

Taster at GABS Auckland 2017. Pours black. Lots of toast stuff going on, a little bitter dark chocolate. Quite astringent. Fine.

Bottle Black, tan head fades to a fat coat, then less. Roasted malt, licorice, dark sugars, grass. Light to medium bodied - seemed thinner after a while. Fairly dry with licorice, roasted flavours, pasture. Insistent bitterness comes through nicely at the end. Maybe a little astringent there too. Aimed at the bottled Guinness market here, I guess.
