Deep dark brown and almost pitch black coloured body with a very thin, barely covering-the-top tan head that fades immediately and leaves nothing on the sides. Aroma of deep alcohol, molasses, roasted malts, oatmeal, grain, caramelised sugars and a good deal of marshmallows, vanilla, earth and somehow more sugars here - very strong, for sure with a lot of alcohol here. Full-bodied; Very rich and syrupy, molasses and grainy notes with a lot of caramelised sugars, vanilla, earth, pungent cream and lactose and a lot of chocolate notes that show more sweetness than bitterness, but a good kick throughout. Aftertaste shows some enjoyable complexity, especially in the alcohol, which hits hard and strong and the sugars of course, that somehow are not cloying, but show a lot of robust characteristics while being enjoyable and somehow balanced. Overall, a very nice, incredibly rich and balanced Stout that hits Imperial status pretty early on, perhaps just on the nose alone, but the pungency and robust qualities are deep and enjoyable, especially for my first trip here, ever! I sampled this twelve ounce, full pour on draught at the brewery here in Midtown, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma on 31-August-2022 for US$9,00 sampled at the brewery here a few hours after arriving!
