Clear, copper and orange coloured body with a thinnish, off-white head that stays afloat for a few seconds. Aroma of bright, bittering hops with an Azacca-like note with some rice noticeable along with a light citrus and grapefruit sweetness. Medium-bodied; Crisp grassy and floral notes show at first with a lot of sweetness from the citrus fruits and a strong bitterness from the hops that show an Azacca rustic quality and funkiness. Aftertaste is fairly well-balanced with some grainy notes and a good balance of sweetness and bitterness, but the citrus and malts seem to show stronger than everything else with only a hint of flowers at the end for additional complexity. Overall, a decent and fairly strong hoppy and bitter beer that has a crisp, dry, Azacca flavour that shows a lot of pungency throughout, atop a nicely structured and balanced IPA. Good to sample, but not my favourite from the day or that the brewery has created. I sampled this sixteen ounce pint pour on draught at the brewery here in Kihei, Maui, Hawaii on 14-April-2022 with my wife and three kids while on Spring Break on 15-April-2022 for US$7,00.
