Fairly hazy golden and light orange coloured body with a very thin off-white head that fades quickly and leaves a subtle lace on the sides of the glass. Aroma of dry oak, cedar and slight woodsie and rustic characteristics with some floral and grassy notes with a light bit of apricots and peaches for sweetness and a kick of melons near the end - just honeydew though. Light to barely Medium-bodied; Rich dry, oaky and cedary woodsie notes show at first with a dry and slightly fruity side that comes right afterwards and a bit of grain still noticeable at the end with a big floral kick. Aftertaste shows some fruits and especially the melons, which may be pretty obvious, but initially they don't come out so much, so it's sort of a surprise at the end. Overall, a nice and well-balanced, but easily drinkable beer that has some dryness, some fruits and a good kick of oak and cedar notes from the barrel aging that hits nicely here. I sampled this sixteen ounce pour on draught at Jagged Mountain here in Denver, Colorado on 02-February-2022 for US$8,00 sampled while in the city for a nice snowstorm.
