Brewed with Simcoe, Chinook and Nelson Sauvin hops, the caramel and chocolate malts complement piney, tropical fruit and citrus flavors and aroma. At 40IBU, this beer is not overly bitter, and the finish is a grapey/wine note from the Nelson Sauvin hops.

Can from the Grain & Hop Store, Cambridge. Brownish Amber, mostly clear with a small head. Putney resinous scent with notes of tamarind. Bittersweet taste with the aura of pine needles surrounding each sip. Short to medium slightly sour finish. An Amber by the book, but I love these beers.

Bottle, 0.33l. Aroma of caramel, resin, tropical fruit and dried fruit. Pours cloudy brown color with thin creamy off-white head and average sparkling appearance. Taste starts with light sweet caramel and toasted malt, following is grassy, mouthfeel is smooth, while finish is pretty bitter. Light body, creamy texture and average carbonation in palate. It seems more malty than hoppy to me...

Karamellig hopfiger, mild süßer Beginn. Geringe Bitterkeit, wässriger Hintergrund. Die Hopfigkeit bleibt überschaubar, etwas seifig, süffig. Okay. 8/9/9/9/10/9

Pours very hazy darker amber, topped with a smaller and nonlasting offwhite head. Gentle malty nose with biscuits and some caramel. Gentle bitterness with some maly sweetness to go along it - biscuits. Shorter and gentler aftertaste. Lighter body. Nicely drinkable though nothing special.

Clear red, white head. Smell is light, malty fruit and the flavour follows suit. Bit of sharpness, some different fruits going on but it's not the most complex. Nice enough though.

Bottle, 0.33l. Cloudy deep amber pour, one finger frothy off-white head. Medium retention, good lacing. Hops on the nose, pine, herbs and citrus fruits. Feels like an IPA. Medium body, medium carbonation. Average texture, smooth on the palate. Balanced bittersweet taste, more on the bitter side. Aroma follows the nose, this is pretty much an amber IPA. Subtle malty background, hops taking the main role. Herbs, grass, citrus fruits. Pine and orange peel. Grainy. Herbal spiciness. Mildly sticky, quite dry. Lasting finish, dry and bitter. Overall, pretty good. Well balanced and refreshing.
