This amber colored lager uses French-origin barley grown in Indiana and Strisselspalt and Barbe Rouge hops from the Alsace region of France. Presenting a delicate balance between caramel malt sweetness and fruity and herbal hops, this beer encapsulates the French and German cultural influences of Alsace into a delightfully smooth lager. Single Decoction.

Draft pour at Goldfinger. Vienna Amber color, nice creamy foam which hangs along the side of the glass. Malt and cream ale nose.
I'm tasting slight caramel toast, and yes, a bit of spice and herb, like from tree bark. Slight impressions of cinnamon and nutmeg. Also picking up some Belgian automatic in the malt. Some pepper from Noble hops keeps the sweetness at bay. A note of light coffee as I go further down the glass.
