Bottle, 27 months past BBD. Pours clear amber with stable off-white head. Clear aroma of malt and fruit, with touches of hops and yeast. Bitter, hoppy flavour with sweet notes of malt, yeast, and fruit, and hints of cloves and cinnamon. Spicy finish with an aftertaste of malt and fruit, and some dusty notes. Not bad.

75 cl bottle from lidl. orange with an amber hue, huge offwhite head. Not a gusher, quite civilized, but the head in the glass is massive. refreshing aroma of flowers, coriander, orange peel, sort of like a belgian blonde, fine aroma with that yeast hint i like with belgian beers, even though this one is french. flavor is like a belgian blonde, but sweeter and more syrupy, does taste a bit like cheap supermarket strong beer, and a bit like a belgian, but more like the cheap one, than the belgian one i'm afraid. If you like your beer to the sweet side, this will go down quite well. for my taste, it reminds me too much of cheap east european strong lager. (yes, those overly sweet overly strong beers that taste like a hangover). I think ratings will vary a lot with this one, depending on preferences. In Denmark, christmas beer is often darker, more like a quad or double, and less like a blonde or a tripel. this one is like a tripel or blonde, with only a subtle added spiciness but a lot of added sweetness. I think it could work well at the dessert table in a christmas setting, as an alternative to the darker more throw the spice shelf in the keg kind of beers.

Bottle from a French supermarket. Poured a clear medium copper colour with a frothy white head. The aroma is toffee caramel malt, sweet red berry fruits, light woody hop. The flavour is moderate to strong sweet with a dry sweet malt, woody alcoholic bitter plate and a lingering light floral bitter finish. Medium bodied with average carbonation.
