Appearance - 6 | Aroma - 8 | Flavor - 7 | Texture - 6 | Overall - 7
Slightly hazy golden and peach coloured body with a pretty big, three to four centimetre tall pure white head that stays afloat nicely above the ever-so-slightly hazy body. Aroma of peaches (of course), light lactose, a bit of brettt notes with some crisp wheat malt and a dash of flowers here and at the tail end, a bit of tropical scents, but not passionfruit. Light to Medium-bodied; Relatively strong peach and crisp apricot flavours dominate here with a big malt presence from the wheat with a lot of flowers and dry, grassy elements towards the finish, with some of the tropically notes really coming out on the finish, with the passionfruit actually noticeable here. Aftertaste is enjoyable and crisp, while being slightly sweet and balanced, mostly with fruit flavours, but some crisp malts and a good layer of sweetness throughout make this enjoyable. Overall, a very nice, balanced and crisp beer with a ton of fruit notes, mostly from the peaches and apricots, but some tropically notes do seep in a bit later on, with a lot of wheat for support, but still relatively easy-drinking. Great to sample and well-recommended, if you can still find it, or if they remake this again! I sampled this sixteen ounce, pint-sized can, purchased from Giant Food (co-branded with the brewery) in Alexandria (Potomac Yard), Virginia on 31-October-2022 for US$9,99/four pack, sampled at my house here in Washington on Day #7 (and Beer #7) of my 2022 [self-created] Advent Calendar, on 07-December-2022.
