Deep amber and copper coloured body with a thinnish tan head. Aroma of grass, pineapple, yeast, grain and a touch of mellow resin. Medium-bodied; Rich sweet flavour of pineapple, guava, oranges, light pine and a heavy dose of dry herbal yeasts. Some of the yeast cuts out and more of the malt, alcohol and a lot of the fruity notes and sweetness, but this is more of a typical Imperial IPA than anything showing a specific yeast strain. Aftertaste shows the sweetness from tropical fruits and the dryness from the malt and grain before anything else, including the yeast and herbal qualities. Overall, a pretty nice beer that shows the hops for sure, a lot of grass and hay, but not as much as the yeast as I'd like to be sampling from here, but the sugars are good as well and lend a decidedly citrus and tropical fruity bite to this. I sampled this twelve ounce bottle purchased from Beer Table [pantry] in New York (Grand Central/Graybar Passage), New York on 11-August-2018 for US$7,00 sampled a few minutes later in my hotel room here in New York on 11-August-2018.
