Deep brown coloured body with a tan head, about two centimetres thick - nice. Aroma of bourbon, scotch, pure alcohol, deep malts and a little pure sugar. Full-bodied; Insanely rich malt and scotch flavours with a huge dose of grain and alcohol that shows for quite a long time, with some more earthier and grainy flavours that finish a bit lighter and leave some nutty flavours on the surface. Aftertaste shows the pure alcohol flavour with a nice bourbon and rich scotch bite that doesn't fade at all and shows a lot of alcohol - perhaps way more than 12,5%! Overall, a ridiculously rich and super potent beer that may not be ready for primetime - instead to keep barrel/ bottle aged/conditioned for a year or so to mute out the alcohol and pungency from this one. I sampled this four ounce pour on draught from the brewpub/restaurant on 13-March-2018 for US$4,25 sampled while in Lincoln, Nebraska for the first time ever, while having Imperial IPAs, the barley wine and some rich fruit-beer (that was the best), which showed a nice range for the brewery!
