Edward (1917-2002) is our grandfather; Hill Farmstead Brewery rests upon the land that was once home to him and his five children. In his honor, this American Pale Ale is dutifully crafted from American malted barley, a plethora of American hops, our ale yeast and water from Edward’s well. It is unfiltered and dry hopped.

Can, month old. It pours hazy orangey - gold with a fluffy white head. The aroma is fresh, pine needles, lovely orangey fruits, juicy, bright, passion fruit, ripe mango, orange squash, kumquat, tangerine and orange blossom. The taste is firmly dry, pleasing bitterness which lingers, touch green, light dank edges, piney goodness, grass, fragrant, floral, pithy, zesty, orange peel, grapefruit, kumquat, orange blossom and clean malt base with a drying finale. Medium body and moderate carbonation. Flavourful with brilliant balance. Eminently drinkable.

Deep orange colour, medium-sized white head. Fruity aroma. Light to medium-bodied. Tropical fruits, citrus in the flavour. Malty. Ok but not more.

Brewery cask at Inaugural Brew Day, 3/30/25.
Moderately hazy, blonde-brass-golden. Fluffy, white head, moderate retention.
Super bright, aromatic nose with high hop clarity and a light backing of rustic grain with a touch of honey-like character. Juicy, soft, round, with heavily fruity, soft citrus, heavy mineral from house yeast and water.
Soft but with a light rusty c grain character. In magnificent shape with no yeastiness or chalk. Exquisitely-fine carbonation. Round, juicy, fruity citrus with a bit of tropical fruit and a touch of wood and pine to keep the fruitiness in check. Malty, dry, balanced, amply bitter. Incredible, as expected.
