A quiet night, near the Westminster, beneath the pale gaslight there was a man in a black coat with a nightcap, on his lips was the smoking calabash pipe. These flash images remind Thom Brewery of Sherlock Holmes with his mysteries – so we combine pipe tobacco idea and local tropical chocolate flavor into a standard English Porter. Not dark as Sherlock Holmes, but no less mystic, Thom Brewery’s Fade to Black bring you the smoky aroma of East-west pipe tobacco and bitter-sour of dark chocolate flavor, in a full-bodied of an English Porter.

30/11/2024. Bottle shared at Ulfborg tasting. Gusher. Pours very dark brown with a foamy off-white to beige head. Aroma is chalky, roasted, malt. Very fizzy. Not great.

Bottle @Ulfborg, infinity gusher. Very dark brown, beige head. Roasted, bretty aroma. Not bad but probably not intended. Sour, roasted and bretty flavour. Not nearly as good as the aroma.

Bottle @ fonefan tasting. Nice head with good duration. Color is black. Aroma and taste are roast malt, chocolate, rich carbonation, hops and has a nice roasty finish. A real gusher with more than half of the beer exploding out when it was opened.

Bottle @ Fonefan tasting. Huge gusher. Hazy brown with a beige head. Aroma is sweet, roasted malt and bretty. Flavor is quite sweet and light bitter. Dry and light bitter finish with high carbonation. 301124

Gusher. Creamy white good mostly lasting head. Dark amber colour. Moderate malty and hoppy aroma. Moderate bitter flavor. Average moderate bitter finish. Creamy palate.

Bottle at Rosemary, Hanoi. Dark brown with a tan head. Aroma of chocolate, cocoa, caramel and dark malt. Flavour is moderate sweet and bitter. Medium bodied with light moderate carbonation.

From a 33 cl bottle at Rosemary in Hanoi.it is a dark amber color with a tan head. The aroma of coffee. The taste is are moderately bitter with flavor of roast and a black licorice finish

From a 33 cl bottle at Rosemary in Hanoi. Pours a clear dark cola with a tan head. Aromas of chocolate and coffee. Flavors are moderately bitter chocolate. Smooth finish.
