Near clear deep amber brown beer, small but tidy pale tan head. Smooth palate, mildly dry, decent fine carbonation. Malts bring a light creamy caramel sweetness which, is well out muscled by the Intrinsic bitterness of this presentation..
Bourbon barrel still obvious despite its modest contribution to the overall blend. Good ripe berry fruits from the Port and Banlyesus barrels. A little apple brandy pairs well with the toffee caramel. Rich alcohol soaked but smooth ripe fruits, underneath, but crucial. Nice sherry and brandy notes. Good ripe red berry intensity courtesy of port and banylyeus barrels. Airy smooth finish. The best vintage for quite some years in my book. Great complexity in the barrelling and a deft touch blending them. Vanilla oak barrel and a very ripe bitterness that is possibly Madeira borne. Superior!

Bottle thanks to my bro. It pours hazy deepest brown with a bubbly light tan head. The aroma is rich and oily, tequila comes though, agave, touch of green veg, spicy rye, Manhattan cocktail, toffee, rum and cherry cola, dark roasted malt, vinous, brandy, grape must, whiskey fudge, touch of coffee and riesen chocolate. The taste is slick, oily, bitter - sweet, dark roasted malt, toothy, chewy, dark fruits, fruit cake, rum & coke, tequila definitely comes through, green veg/agave vibes, caipirinha, umami, fat wash, coffee beans, vinous elements, tannin, dry oak and warming booze with a toasty finale. Fullsome body, fine prickly carbonation and soft mouth feel. Nice depth of flavour. Even though the rum barrel is the biggest component, the tequila barrel really comes through.
