Boxing Day is still ok for drinking Christmas beers, right? CBB winter Anise White 2021 Belgian Strong Wheat Ale 8% Lovely mellow gold, fizzy white foam that didn’t linger or leave any lacing. Sweet Belgian aroma with soft spices. Very approachable. Full bodied and dry with a really well balanced spice level of anise, coriander, orange and ginger. Kind of like a big Belgian witbier with a Christmas twist. For me the carbonic bite is a bit too strong but this is a fine example of a Belgian Christmas brew, made in Osaka! Served with leftover stollen for that extra touch of Christmas cheer.
