Bottle from the brewery’s online shop, served in my IPA glass. Ise Kadoya recently released 3 new IPAs, this one is labeled a Brown IPA. Ise Kadoya Brand New Day IPA Brown IPA 6% Deep brown verging on black with molasses looking highlights and a thick light beige head. The aroma is malty brown sugar buns freshly baked with a herbal spicy dash for seasoning. Medium to full in body and velvety smooth. The taste is roasty, a bit nutty and while your first few sips will deliver a hop punch after that you get chocolate and herbal hops in the aftertaste. This beer definitely grew on me.
