Cask at the Post Office Vaults, Birmingham. Poured a clear dark brown with a bubbly off white head. The aroma is malt, dry coffee. The flavour is moderate sweet light liquorice bitter with a smooth, rich, malt, dry cofeee, chocolate, liquorice hop bitter palate. Medium bodied with soft carbonation.

Cask @ Fox And Goose, Hebden Bridge. Very dark red with a thin creamy off-white head. It’s very stated with its dry coffee notes for its low strength.

Tried at the strugglers inn, Lincoln. Dark brown almost black with a tan head. Aroma has coffee caramel and chocolate. Taste more coffee and chocolate. Toasty finish.

Very nice strong roasted coffee aroma. Also reflected in the flavour to a lesser extent. It’s a shame that it’s disappointingly thin and watery.

Cask-conditioned at the Seven Stars, Bristol 5/8/2014. Dark brown with a creamy, tan, head. Aroma of coffee, brown sugar and plain chocolate. Easy drinking, with plenty more coffee flavours, caramel and a toasty finish. Good.
