An opaque amber brown color with a beige head + good lacing. Bready malty caramel in the nose reminiscent of a barleywine. Medium bodied, zesty carbonation the taste is oaky, tons of barrel character, vanilla, light Chardonnay, maltiness, a bit of sweet fruity hoppiness in the finish. This is the most barrel forward beer at the fest I feel. As it warms up some citrusy quality comes through softening the beer, nice.
