Palo Santo Aged Baltic Porter, 22°, 8,9% ABV

Polská kooperace. Baltic Porter, ve kterém se snoubí plnost silného tmavého piva a relativní pitelnost. Použili jsme komplexní sladový základ z několika světlých, karamelových i pražených sladů, díky nimž jsme docílili robustní chuti tmavého ovoce, čokolády a mírné praženosti. Dlouhé zrání na dřevu Palo Santo dodalo pivu nejen sladké aroma kokosu a nádech ovoce, ale přináší i hloubku a zklidnění tak cenné při vychutnávání si neobvyklého piva.

Bistro Stu Mostów - Lekkie w odbiorze z wyraźną nutą beczki, bardziej wytrawne niż słodkie z przyjemnym drewnianym finiszem, bardzo dobry porterek.

500ml can. Jet black colour with average to huge, dense, creamy, moderately lasting and lacing, ochre-ish, tan head. Woody and nutty, slightly resinous, as well as roasty, dark malty aroma, notes of coconut, sandalwood, cedarwood, disguised hints of dark chocolate, cocoa, olibanum and tobacco overtones. Taste is minimally perfumed, resinous, woody and nutty as well as slightly chocolately and roasty, dark malty, notes of sandalwood, coconut, cedarwood, some olibanum, cocoa, dark chocolate, weak tobacco overtones.
Full body, creamy to viscous texture, smooth and soft, minimally greasy and cloying palate, medium to fine, dense, soft, creamy carbonation.
Excellent composition, mild, harmonious, homogeneous - great!

Tap at BeerGeek. Full body, not overly so though. Medium carbo. High sweetness balanced by high bitterness and moderate woodiness. There is plenty of dark malts, mostly lots of chocolate, dark, cocoa, but also med-light coffee and toffee. Moderate mix of dried fruits and also medium woodiness, the palo santo is a really unusual flavor. Aasertive cocoa and a bit of cinnamon, nutmeg, this kind of spiciness, along a bit of frankincense. Excellent beer.

Tap at BGB, thx Tomáš! Pitch black body, off-white, thick head, okay retention. Lovely, big aroma, blueberry-coconut-wood somehow. Lean, dry, chocolatey taste, Rafaello coconut, low fruitiness, quite dry, mildly warming. This wood is so much fun! But borders on astringent, dunno if I could do 0.5l. still, respect.
