Velvety smooth like a magic carpet, aromas of dark stone fruit and coffee with a lingering dark chocolate, burnt toffee and liqourice flavour. This beer will warm you up on a cold day.

Bottle at the Cotteridge Convention 2017. It pours black with a thick tan head. The aroma is rich roasted malt, coffee, umami, charred notes, dark chocolate, dark fruits, cocoa and fruit cake. The taste is bitter - sweet, jammy fruits, candy, toffee, dark fruits, warming alcohol, sticky, sweet, earthy, chewy malt and cocoa. Medium body and moderate carbonation. Pretty rich and decadent. Nice.

Sample at the Cotteridge Convention III 2017. Poured a clear dark brown with a long lasting frothy light tan head. The aroma is roasty malt molasses spicy. The flavour is liqourice bitter with a molasses soy sauce palate. Medium bodied with soft carbonation.

From a 500ml bottle on 9/10/2016. Pours close to black with a biggish head. The nose is light chocolate malt but subdued when compared with the taste. The flavour of big, bold and sweet - lots of chocolate, cocoa and fudge, a touch of caramel and roasted malt. The palate is lovely - thick and creamy, with fairly lively carbonation for the style. A really nice chocolatey impy. Really liking the stuff these guys are producing.
