Can. 44cl. @home poured into a shaker. Roasty nose. Clear deep reddish amber colour, tall frothy off-white, good retention, fair lacing. Aroma roasted malt, grain, caramel, red fruit, piney hops and pine resin. Taste medium sweet and bitter, malty, grain, straw, pine resin, caramel notes. Medium body, oily texture, soft carbonation, roasted malty sweetbitter aftertaste, roast lingers on, well-balanced, tasty, very good!

440 ml can, as Monkey Brew Ohm Red Ale, from Vinmonopolet Stavanger Hinna. ABV is 5.6%. Deep reddish brown colour, moderate off-white head. Aroma of lightly roasted malts, caramel, brown bread, burnt breadcrumbs, piney hops. Citric and resinous mouthfeel. Roasty and very bitter flavour, burnt breadcrumbs and resinous hops galore. Not my cup of tea.

170ml draught, tap 32 at Ølhallen. A deep ruby coloured body, dotteed spots on the glassware from a covering off-white head. Inviting caramel and dark fruits on the nose. Good taste of dark berries, dark fruits, and mild malty sweetness. Rounded tail with a bitter backdrop. Good drinking. (Tromsø, 24.07.2025).

Can @ home. Beautiful, clear reddish amber body under a big, foamy beige head. Aroma has malt, caramel, fruity hops and a piny touch. Taste is balanced sweet malt with moderate caramel, refreshing fruity hops, a hint of pine and fine bitterness. Balanced body and same aftertaste. Nice and food friendly.
