Cask at the Willow Walk, JDW - London. Pours clear burnished gold with a foamy, white head. Not bad, pretty classic golden bitter, some doughy bread, leafy bitterness, grains. Light bodied with fine carbonation. Finishes with some husky grains, a little toast, more leaves. So so.

Cask at Prince Arthur, Fleet. Floral aroma with slightly offputting sour notes. Dark amber. Blotchy off-white head. Medium bitter and like the aroma there is a certain amount of sourness. Medium bodied. Slick. Flat carb. Long somewhat astringent finish. Not a winner. Is it usually this bitter or is it the cask?

330ml Bottle (Angel JDW, Basingstoke) - Dark amber in colour. Peach, caramel and a hint of grapefruit in the aroma. Biscuity and nutty taste with some roasted and hoppy notes.

Cask at Prince Arthur (JDW), Fleet, at 3.5% ABV. Pale amber with a loose white head; weak tropical fruit aroma; rather thin with some tropical fruit and grapefruit flavours; and a crisp citrusy finish. This doesn’t stand up to the other lowish alcohol, heavily hopped beers around nowadays.

Cask at The Swan, Bloomsbury, London. 3.5% ABV. Poured a golden/amber with a decent sized but quite short lasting white head, leaving good lacing. Aroma is sweet, well hopped, with floral notes. Medium+ sweetness with a good level of hoppy bitterness. Light/medium body, soft carbonation, texture a little sticky. Has a long bitterness to finish. For its ABV this is very good.

Bottle from Cotteridge Wines; dark copper pour with creamy beige head, aroma of malt and caramel, taste has some stale grainy malt, struggling to find any NZ hop character, I’ve got 8 other little beers to go hope they over deliver.

Bottle 750ml. @ [ (Easter "Flags of many nations" Tasting) by Chriso - London ].Clear medium orange yellow colour with a average, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, toasted - caramel, moderate hoppy, grass, citrus, fruity ? Flavour is moderate sweet and light moderate bitter with a average duration, minerals - salty, fruity. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. IMO. maybe a bit homebrew alike ! [20130331]
