Draught in Targowa. Much dark chocolate, some whisky, a bit of ash. Alcohol perfectly hidden. Full body, smooth. Fantastic.

Bottle 330ml (BB 01.02.2021, batch #27). From the bottle beer is definitely roasty even a bit ashy in aftertaste with delicate sweetness. I cannot feel vanilla but anyway beer is also very tasty but... I prefer from the tap. Tap (Targowa, Wroclaw). Black colour, small beige head, delicate lacing. Aroma is wooden, roasty, intense, very nice. Wooden in taste with nice, sweet vanilla. Dry, a bit roasy but at the first wooden, a bit astringent with very good hidden alcohol. Really good ris.

Bottle shared thanks to sjogro. Pitch black with tan head. Lots of dark chocolate, vanilla, dark berries, cognac, some coffee, marzipan, sweet red wine. Over medium sweet and medium bitter. Full bodied with thick creamy feel.

33 cl bottle (12,7%) @ home. Batch #27, BBE 01.02.2021
Aroma has licorice and coffee. Flavour has cognac, turns soon into very strong woody tones. Also some odd plastic tones and liquor. Finishes with bitter rubberness. Not sure what to think of this; could work as a slow sipper but then again there are better options for that.

330ml bottle from Boxbeers. Batch #27 BBE 01.02.2021. Pours pitch black with a brown head. Aroma of roasty malts, coffee, espresso, hints of oak, licorice and wood. Taste is roasty and heavy with some leather, coffee, espresso, chocolate, oak, wood, syrup and licorice. Finish is heavy and woody with some hints of leather, coffee, espresso and licorice. A bit unbalanced.

Backlog, used to work for this brewery and at time reviewed the beers I tasted, now that I am no longer employed figured I can enter them.Bottled - BB 01.02.2021 - Batch #27.Pitch black color, builds up a big lasting light brown head.Roasted, malted, chestnut, light cacao, a tad sweet scent.Malty, sweet, wood, roasted, toasted, some tannic bitterness taste. Wood, oak, roasted aftertaste. Some warming alcohol.Smooth big mouthfeel, nice balanced CO2, medium to medium high bitterness. Fairly dry finish.Hits you from the color and the head, via the scent and taste, all through the mouthfeel with the aftertaste, a big bold beer with lots of everything but still balanced with that alcohol level.
