Bottled, from Systembolaget. Black with rich beige head. Generous oaky aroma with coffee and salmiak. Sweet with massive body and dense, thick mouthfeel. Coffee, fudge, salmiak and brandy. Warming finish with some late resin. Big flavours, perhaps more complicated than complex, but rounded and rather polished.

Bottled:
Black with a medium sized head.
Aroma is soy sauce, smoke and licorice.
Harsh taste of well roasted malt, soy sauce and a little bit of licorice leading to a boozy bitterness.
Messy.

Gott!

(Thx!) 330 ml. bottle sampled @ Billie’s Bier Kafetaria. BBF 01.02.2021. Black with a dark tanned head that just fizzes away. Nose is sweet mocha, hazelnut with a big umami background, overly so for me. Fizzy bodied. Taste is herbal cacao, overly boozy, low varnish, herbal coffee, weird ashes, coffee grounds, low umami, grainy,…. Very messy beer with conflicting elements ashes vs. cacao sweetness with no mix for instance. Overall decent – 3rd Ghost beer that is just decent for me. Didn’t really get the Oak Chips unless if they charred them really heavily prior to use.

Draught at Tap 10. Pitch black with a thin, tanned head. Sweet aroma with coffee, chocolate, caramel, liquorice, dark malts, vanilla dense notes, cognac and soy sauce. Taste is sweet. Full body with an oily texture and a soft carbonation. Finishes long lasting, slightly dry with toasted malts, liquorice, whisky barrel and coffee. Nice, complex Stout.
