This collaboration between All in Brewing and West Coast Bryggeri was made as one of the very first beers in our brewery in the celebration of our initial collaboration and gentleman's Handshake making their range of beers at our brewery. It needed a complicated malt grain build to create the complexity we were aiming for. This was to be a BIG Stout and we even flavoured it with Coconut and Cinnamon. Made in the end of September and matured post fermentation and flavouring for over 4 months. In February we felt that it was time. The smooth beast was ready!
Malts: Brown, chocolate, smoked malt and roasted Barley
Hops: Cascade, Willamete and Magnum
Flavouring: Hand toasted Coconut and Cinnamon. Demerara Sugar and Dark Syrups to increase complexity

Draught@CBC2016. Pitch black colour with a small dark brown head. Aroma is coffee, coconut, some cinnamon, chocolate and mild alcohol to it. Flavour has pretty much the same elements as the aroma. Quite nicely flavours in a smooth day.

Must confess I expected something much worse given how long I’ve held on to this. Past it’s prime I’m sure but still sports plenty of coconut. Drinks like Kokostopp light.

(Bottle, 0.33 l - BB 15.02.2018, thanks Baggio, 20170930) The beer poured black. Its head was medium sized and lightly brown. Aroma had burnt malts, toasted coconut and sweetness. Palate was full bodied with medium carbonation. Flavours were burnt malts, toasted coconut, liquorice, sweetness, ash and bitterness. Aftertaste had burnt malts, coconut and bitterness. A brew with too much coconut.
