West Coast IPA - is a new Seasonal from us, and our good pal @stevewoods. Steve has been a regular of ours at the brewery since we opened. Handsome, charismatic, and super kind to animals, Steve is the total package. Together we are proud to release this beer in conjunction with our friends at @raincoastconservation. A portion of the proceeds will go to benefit coastal wolf habitat in BC. Steve is a world-renowned photographer whose work in nature advocates on behalf of his beautiful subjects.

This West Coast IPA is made with BC malt, and dry-hopped with Simcoe, Citra, and Centennial. Light bodied and very crisp with a balanced bitterness. We taste sticky pine, lemon and candied orange.

On tap at Superflux, pours a clear golden with a small white head. Aroma has a nice oily piney hop character, a touch of woody hops, and light oily resins. Flavour is perhaps less impressive, with piney hops, a pronounced minerality, and some resinous hops oils. A bit too minerally, which obscures the hop expression. Good.

On tap at Superflux. Pours hazy blonde with a white head. Dry pine on the nose. Flavour has dry pine, a touch of dankness, allium, pale malts. Moderately dry finish. Not bad.

Bright gold, bubbly head. Clean pale malt, bright raspberry, salmonberry and peach hop note. Oh that centennial-simcoe blend, yeah that works. Good malt base. Respectable.

473 ml can. Pours a clear gold with light head. Aromas of old time West Coast IPAs, with lots of pine, grapefruit, and dank resin on a biscuity base. Flavors follow same though maybe a bit extreme on the hops. A Fat Tug on steroids.

Poured from the tap @ Superflux. Clear yellow gold with small white head. Clean biscuit malt, pine hops, but the resins oddly have a young and green quality like being underripe. Okay.
