Stoutlander is een gedurfde American Stout, gebrouwen met Pühaste uit Estland. Dit bier zit vol smaak. Je proeft direct de rijke tonen van koffie en romige chocolade. Daarna volgt een fruitige hoptoets die zorgt voor een speelse twist. Een verrassende combinatie die zowel intens als fris is.

De kleur is diepzwart en de body vol. De mout geeft een stevige basis. Amerikaanse hoppen voegen extra lagen toe. De afdronk is licht bitter, met een vleugje citrus en tropisch fruit. Dit zorgt voor een mooi evenwicht en een spannend karakter.

Liefhebbers van volle stouts met een moderne twist zullen dit bier waarderen. De samenwerking tussen Jopen en Pühaste levert een stout op die toegankelijk én gedurfd is. Of je nu een ervaren stoutdrinker bent of iets nieuws wilt proberen, dan is Jopen x Pühaste Stoutlander ook iets voor jou.

(Draft at Arendsnest, Amsterdam, 16 Aug 2025) Black colour with creamy, beige head. Malty, roasted nose with notes of coffee, chocolate and dark bread. Malty, roasted taste with coffee, dark chocolate, dark bread, roasted grain and a balanced roasty bitterneess in the finish. Medium body, dry. Well balanced stout. Nice one.

On tap @ de Tol, Culemborg.
Black with a tan head. Hoppy roasty aroma. Sweet taste with chocolate, coffee and hops. Bitter finish. Indeed more an Black IPA than a regular stout but I could drink this all day.

Can at home. Opaque brown color, full sized rough beige head. Aroma and flavor are malts, brown malts, earthy, typical foreign stout aroma. Flavor is similar, with malt bitterness and some metallic / iron hints. A bit harsh if you ask me. Mwah.

Keg at If It Ain't Dutch. Near opaque dark brown beer, decent tan head. Airy palate, semi dry, decent superfine carbonation. A pleasant light bodied dark malt profile, a little roast, mild unsweet dark chocolate. Fairly American hop back end, bright citrus, juicy, piney. Light finish. Very quaffable.

Tap at dutch bar bermondsey tasting. A dark mahogany brown coloured pour with a khaki head. Aroma is earthy roast, liquorice, jammy fruits, robust farming roast. Palate is semi sweet, little thin, moderate carbonation. Flavour is composed of semi sweet, nutty roast, liquorice. Solid. Light chalky.

Blik 33cl thuis. Citrustonen, sinaasappel, grapefruit, koffie, roasted malts, redelijk zacht, hoppig, wat tropisch fruit, bitters. Meer Black IPA dan Stout. (4-5-2025).

Blik gedeeld door Roelzie. Geprobeerd met Mimi, Rik, Tessa en Guus. Het is een diep donkerbruin bier met een dun beige schuim. Het heeft een aroma van gebrande mout en koffie. De smaak is gebrand moutig, koffie en fruitig.

Can from Drankenhandel Leiden. Roasty and fruity/hoppy with coffee, orange, some dark chocolate, roasted malt, touch of grapefruit. Nicely bitter, light sweetish, medium body. Almost a Black IPA.
