500ml bottle, at the Beer Jerk Bunker bottle share, thanks to me. Soft red fruit, strong caramel, cherry, plum, raspberry, liquorice, figs, chocolate. Good full body. Wonderful.

From a 500ml bottle is on 1/5/2018. Pours a deep cloudy amber with almost no head. Has quite a strong aroma of caramel and stewed fruit. Massively sweet in the mouth - oodles of caramel, butterscotch, toffee, honey and ripe and dried fruit. Even a hint of milk chocolate. There is a decent bitterness at the back but the sweetness certainly prevails. The palate is sticky and syrupy, with softish carbonation. This is the sweetest barley wine Iβve ever had, but with a very sweet tooth, I can happily live with that. It may not be for everyone, but itβs a mightily impressive malty dessert treat.

Bottle - Toffee and some leafy hop notes. Clear amber. Nice caramel notes and sweetness with the hops firmly in the background. This is a great, rich and sweet barley wine that is good to drink fresh.

Bottle at Mikkeller Bangkok. Poured a dark amber colour with a round off white head. The aroma is sweet sugary malt, sticky toffee caramel, some alcohol. The flavour is moderate to strong sweet with a rich smooth oily sweet malt, sticky toffee pudding, red berry fruit, light spice palate. Full bodied with soft carbonation. A fitting celebration ale.

Tasting at Mattβs
Dark amber color, hazy, with small head. The aroma is mild, lightly fruity, the flavor is much more robust, rich malt flavor, caramel, some toffee.
Excellent.

Has a bright amber-brown colour. Not much head. The aroma is complex, toasty, touch of pine/pitch. Similar piney character, sweet golden syrup/toasty malts, raisins, golden plums. Very complex, but with a beautiful pale fruitiness, and a dash of toasty character.

500mL bottle, pours a dark mahogany with a small beige head. Aroma brings out dry toasted bread, a little caramel and a very British malt characteristic. Flavour is rich and complex, with loads of caramel, toasted bread, toffee and a wonderful earthy quality. Complex as hell, decadent, sweet but not cloying and with tons of depth. Fantastic.

Bottle. Wax over shiny black poster paper like a flasher putting a condom over his raincoat. Clear deep amber with a pale beige head that lasts pretty well. Luscious aroma of whisky toffee, sultana, vanilla, white pepper. Sticky, low carbonation. Very sweet with fairly big bitterness and integrated some alcohol at the end. More toffee, bread and toast than dried fruit (thought thereβs sultanas and plums) spices come through too much for me at the end. Good, but perhaps needs a little time for the flavours to meld a bit more.
