From a 500ml bottle on 5/6/2014. Pours a clear deep golden with a small head. Has a strong aroma featuring lots of fruity, resiny hops, and fresh fruit salad. Big on flavour, it features a light caramel malt background, masses of sweet apricot and peach, and big lingering, resiny hops at the back. The texture is a bit syrupy and the carbonation average. Very nice stuff.

Flaska@Bishops Arms Vasagatan. Bärnstensfärgad vätska med högt vitt skum. Massor av tropiska frukter. Gräddig och mjuk munkänsla med en värmande eldighet. Juiceig och god maltkropp som sedan övergår i en kraftig och fruktig beska.

(500ml bottle @ VilleValla Pub, Linköping, Jan 23 2015). Pours clear dark amber with a decent white head and lots of lace. Aroma is nice and hoppy with citrus rind, tangerine flesh, mango, hop resin, passion fruit, grassy, caramel, slight grains. Flavour has mango, slightly unripe, pineapple, orange peel, some other citrus, leafy hops, caramel. Nice moderate citrus pith bitterness with a little pine sap comes in towards the finish. Moderate body, oily, moderate carb. This is still quite a nice DIPA even though the bottle is not particularly fresh, having made its way halfway ’round the world. It must be grand indeed in NZ.

Growler. Clear amber with an off white head that’s soon less than a coat but never quite gives up. Vibrant aroma of tropical fruit chews, grass, caramel, a little pine. One of those that you pick up to have a swig ten times and end up smelling and putting down again. Not so fruity in the taste though, and slightly syrupy - very sweet caramel and lots of resinous bitterness. Mango, grapefruit, orange, peach are there though and creep up after the initial bittersweet whack. Alcohol sticks out a bit at the end.

Bottle. Pours a clear pale amber golden color with a small white head. Had a fruity piney grapefruit hoppy aroma. Fruity malty piney hoppy bitter grapefruit flavor. Has a fruity malty grapefruit hoppy bitter grassy finish.

(Bottle, 0.5 l - BB 09.07.15, at Kitty’s, 20150122) The beer poured deep amber and clear. Its head was medium sized, white and it lasted long. Aroma had fruitiness, freshly cut grass, malts and sweetness. Palate was medium bodied with medium carbonation. Flavours were fruitiness, grass, sweetness, malts, molasses and bitterness. Aftertaste was hoppy, malty and bitter. A tasty and suprisingly balanced double IPA.

BB 09 07 15 - Pours dark reddish orange with a smooth head. Aroma of fresh grassy hops, pine, resin, juicy citrus and caramely malts. Taste is unfortunately a bit stuffy with notes of sweet caramely malts, loads of hops, grass, citrus, resin and pine. Finish is crisp, sweetish and lingering hoppy with some bitterness, pine and resin. Quite tasty even though it’s not super fresh any more.

50 cl bottle @ BrewDog Helsinki, BBE 9.7.2015. Aroma is rather nice and heavy with sweet fruity hops and pineapple juice. Flavour has somewhat aggressive fruity hops, some caramel, toffee candy and hints of biscuits. Menthol-like finish with lingering hops. Nice.
