Cask @ The Pub (formerly Calans), Hebden Bridge. Very dark with a thick creamy off-white head. It has smooth tasting light roasted malts and is an easy-drinking dark malt brew.

Cask at Cloisters. Dark brown body with a thin beige head. Faint lacing. Aroma of wood and ash. Flavour of cranberry, woody malts and nuts. Thin body with a watery texture. Fine but forgettable.

Gravity cask at the Land Rover Beer Festival 2016. Poured a clear dark brown with a bubbly round off white head. The aroma is big dark chocolate, roasty malt, charcoal. The flavour is moderate sweet light liqourice bitter with a dry smooth sweet malt, chocolate light coffee palate. Medium bodied with soft carbonation.

7th July 2015: hand-pulled cask half-pint in The Anchor, Birmingham. For Ratella read Nutella, this deep, smooth black brew with a good tanned head is a chocolate and nutty flavoured beer. Different and most enjoyable for someone like me with a sweet tooth.
