Cask at the Gunner Tavern, Newcastle, 14/05/2025.
Black topped with a lasting frothed up khaki cap.
Nose is charr, roast malts, toffee, hint of coffee.
Taste comprises roast malts, cocoa powder, light sour fruit tang.
Medium bodied, soft carbonation, semi drying close.
Decent flavoursome stout.

Half a pint on cask at the Leoprd. Medium creamy beige head. Clear almost black pour. Some chocolat6e. Very smooth

Cask-conditioned at Bristol Beer Festival, 24/3/2017. Dark brown in colour, with a thin, beige, head. Sweetish, toasty malts, plain chocolate, some coffee character, leading to a dryish finish. A good porter.

Cask at the Post Office Vaults, Birmingham. Poured a clear dark brown with a frothy light tan head. The aroma is sweet roasty malt, light dry coffee, light chocolate. The flavour is moderate sweet with a light, malt, liqourice bitter, sweet chocolate, light hop spice palate. Medium bodied with soft carbonation.

Cask at the Wellington; dark brown pour with a bubbly beige head, chocolate and malt aroma, taste has roast malt, chocolate and some coffee.

Cask @ Masons Arms, Todmorden. Almost black with a creamy off-white head. Has a full body and a full bodied taste with a mix of coffees and chocolates.

Cask at Rat and Ratchet, Huddersfield, West Yorkshire Sat 15th February 2014. Pours black with creamy off-white head. Smooth, really smooth in fact and very creamy but there is a nice subtle roastiness, its good, like this. A6 A4 T7 P4 Ov13 3.4
