Keg at the CP&K, 06/03/17. Black with a reddish shine in the light and topped with a decent tan cap. Nose is treacle toffee, charr, black peppery spice, pine needles, earthy red berries. Taste comprises chocolate biscuit, pine, liquorice, cocoa powder, spice, black pepper, black berries, charr. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close dashed with earthy hop bitterness. Solid CDA.

Keg at the Cask pub and kitchen. An opaque black coloured dark brown coloured pour with a lasting mid tan head. Aroma is nice jammy citrus fruit, apricot and a hint of brown bread. Little pine on the nose as well. Flavour is composed of rounded base malts, soft roast, sorachi ace like hop, citrus tropical notes, toasted pine. Palate is rounded, medium bodied, highish carbonation.. Lingering roast and firm hop bitterness. Really good.

Keg at Torrside Brewery Open Weekend, New Mills, Derbyshire, Saturday 10th December 2016 Pours dark brown edging towards black with a slim off-white sticky head. Quite cold so not picking up too much on the nose. Rich, hoppy but with a good citrussy blast, dry finish, really good. A6 A4 T8 P4 Ov15 3.7

Keg @ Birmingham Beer Bash 2016. Pours dark with small tan head. Aroma is light, sweet roast. Taste is smooth dry, layered roast with an underlying coconut sweetness. Complex and delicious.
