Crack some coriander seeds and they release a pungent, spicy aroma with surprising citrus notes of orange, lemon and lime. Add some dried orange peel (careful now, the pith is bitter) and chuck the lot in the copper just as you're finishing the boil on a pale wort (a wort containing 30% malted wheat and hopped to a low bitterness level). Throw armfuls of soft, fruity Perle hops in afterwards (perhaps some Saaz hops too), cool and ferment warm with an ale yeast.
Cask condition the beer and enjoy it, served cool, on warm, sultry afternoons when you should be at work. Watch the world go by. Relax.

Fra håndpumpe på The Three Greyhounds i Soho, med Håkon april-14: lys og klar (!) og kort filmskum. Lett, frisk og litt syrlig. En god sommerøl men ingenting hverken i aroma, utseende eller smak som minner om en ordentlig hveteøl.

Cask @ Scarborough Hotel, Leeds. Golden with a creamy head. Has a fruit hopped character and pleasant. Nose not great but the taste is good.

On cask at the Haymarket. Appearance - golden with a decent cream head. Nose - slightly elusive but some flowers in there. Taste - lemon tart. A ginger tang afterwards. Some slight cardboard on the finish. Palate - medium bodied with a creamy texture and a fairly fresh finish. Overall - almost very good but the odd less pleasant note.

Cask at Akkurat. Taste of wheat and currant seeds. Harsh mouthfeel, specially for a wheat and a cask ale.

Cask gravity at Rare Breeds BF 08. Never one of my favourite Gadd’s beers, but this was particularly good. Gold, lasting off white head. Cracking condition. Nice summer beer, nice hops, some cereal, bit of peach, rose petal. Such great condition and lovely peachy fruit.
