Imperial Stout with Coffee, Vanilla and Cacao 10.2%

Brewed in collaboration with our friends at The Source Coffee Roasters, King Void uses a heavyweight dose of roasted and black malts (~15%) along with a host of other dark and crystal malts to create the blackest beer possible. We cold steeped this beer over a four day period, on natural process Rwandan coffee beans, in addition to ethically farmed Colombian cacao nibs and Indonesian vanilla beans.

Can shared by my bro. It pours nearly black with a thick, dark tan head. The aroma is smooth, super dark roasted malt, dark roast espresso, dark chocolate, nutty, praline, tarry, umami, liquorice, toasted sesame seeds and rocky road. The taste is bitter - sweet, slick, dark roast malt, chocolate cake, gateaux, plenty of coffee, espresso, burnt toast, mild acidity, chewy, toothy, vanilla, espresso martini, tiramisu and support from warming booze with a slick finish. Full body, average carbonation and quite velvety mouth. Rounded and moreish, but not too sweet.
