Cask at the Rail Ale Festival Chesterfield, 2016. Poured a clear dark brown with a thin light tan head. The aroma is big roasty liqourice malt, light sweet fruit. The flavour is moderate liqourice bitter with a light spicy hop bitter palate. Medium bodied with average carbonation.

Gravity cask at Rail Ale ’16, 20/05/16 (at 7.2%). Black topped with a decent tan head. Nose is rich chocolate, dark fruit mash, spice, fruit cake, molasses. Taste comprises light roast malts, chocolate, spice, toffee, fruit load. Medium + body, soft carbonation, lght watming alcohol in the close. Decent well rounded impy - one of the better examples of this style on cask that I’ve had.

Bradford Beer Festival 2016. Black coloured ale. Surprisingly easy drinking with its roasted malt character for its strength.
