Draft at Taps Beer Bar, Changkat, Kuala Lumpur. Poured a clear dark brown colour with a long lasting frothy light tan head. The aroma is yeast, blackberry, raspberry sour citrus. The flavour is light roasty malt, moderate sour with an a big acid citrus fruit, yeasty biscuit dough palate. Medium bodied with average carbonation.

Tasted on Sour Sunday at The Jupiter. Pours dark black with beige bubbles. Nose is light sour mash. Med+ body. Flavor is sour, like sour malt, finishing with dark malty stout, but sour is ever present. Wild!

On draft at Whole Foods Pasadena. Pours a hazy brown with an ecru head. Light malty nose. Flavors of caramel with vinous notes. Slightly tart finish. Pretty easy going for a sour beer.

Trestle Inn, Philadelphia tap ($6): Pours a black colour with a beige head. Aroma is cherry, chocolate, vinegar, and red wine. Taste has a whole bunch of sourness, especially at the front and then there is some chocolate and malt toward the back. For a sour stout, this was pretty good.

Sampled on tap at PIB, pours a dark reddish amber with a small beige head. Aroma of sour barrels taking over the roasted notes of the stout, though it's faintly recognizable as being a stout-based. Flavour of sour notes, masking the roasted and chocolate notes. Not much else to describe it with. Solid rendition but it doesn't strike me as a stout or a warranted thing to do to a stout. Good for what it is though.

A deep dark sour stout with a thin brown head. In aroma, a sweet nutty malt with light butterscotch. In mouth, a sour chocolate with light corky notes, lactic, a bit thin. On tap at Alibi Room, March 22, 2012.

Draft. Dark mahogony beer with a tan head. Tart aroma. Tart/light sour flavor with dark fruits and light chocolate. Medium bodied. Tart/light sourness lingers with dark fruits and malt. Easier drinking than I thought an 8% sour stout would be.

Draft at Churchkey. Cloudy dark amber brown, thick small brown head. Aroma of sour prunes. Taste is prunes, dates, plums with moderate sourness. Not bad.
