Dark amber-brown, no head. This is interesting. The aroma has a fair bit of toastiness, light fruitiness, some alcohol. This doesn't have a lot of bitterness, but it's certainly got a fair bit of malt, alcohol. The malt is toasty, but also has some old ale type oiliness, dried hops, raisins, some marmaladey accents. Light tartness in the finish as well. Described as barley wine, but it's an old ale for me.

250mL bottle, pours a deep dark brown with a small beige head. Aroma is full of bready caramel and a touch of toasted nuts. Flavour is malty but dry, with lots of dry bready caramel, some toffee, fermented out brown sugar, and a touch of toasted nuts. Finishes dry, moderately bitter, a touch tart, and yet still very malty. Very odd. Not bad, but doesn’t hit the bulls eye for me.

375mL bottle. Pours very dark brown with a minimal beige head. Old grains, dried fruit, and some boozy notes on the nose. Flavour has dusty malts, old grains, dry caramel, tangy dried fruits; a very dry finish. This is very odd for a barley wine, but I really enjoy it.
