We hosted our good friends at Anspach & Hobday to brew a West Coast IPA for CASK pub and Kitchen. Pouring exclusively at their and our venues, Dr Protest and Professor Pigeon's Iconic Tonic is surely no snake oil. Heavily Hopped with Cashmere and Chinook and bound to put a last-century pep in your step.

Cask at Craft Beer Co, Clerkenwell. Clear amber brown
Thin frothy foamy off-white head. Chewy malts. Tangy berries. Fruity. Light-medium bodied. Slick. Soft-foamy.carbonation. Long finish. A chewy bitter. Defo a trad IPA in a I can see why a while back this would have been added to Ratebeer as an EasB.

(Cask at The Bear Paddington, London, 28 May 2025) Golden amber colour with frothy, off-white head. Malty, fruity nose with dried fruit, apricots, herbs and resin. Fruity, malty taste with notes of citrus, dried fruit, apricots, resin and a balanced herbal/resiny bitterness. Medium body, with a certain sweetness. Hoppy and tasty. Nice one.

Cask at Cask Pub and Kitchen, Pimlico, London. No aroma. Gold. Extremely bitter. It was the right kind of West coats bitterness for the most part but it was just overly dominant.

Cask at CBC, Covent Garden on 26th April 2025. Clear amber with shallow, loose off-white foam and spot lacing. Spiced hops in aroma. Lush hoppiness of peel and spice in-mouth, and a lasting bitter finish with smokiness. Medium bodied with a smooth mouthfeel.
